PORT deprecated?

Has the PORT command in FTP programs (we use wget, curl, FireFTP, etc) been deprecated yet? Seems there was a nasty security breach using a fallback PASV --> PORT.

Can't stand it any more ...deprecated its deprecated. Like depreciated

OK... usually I'm a good speller notwithstanding the cheap KB (double letters or missing).

About 5 to 10 yeara ago I use to say it like you spelled it, untill someone corrected me.
