ROX-Filer: Quickly change symlink target
ROX-Filer's user interface is not what I would call "intuitive". One nice feature is hidden in the Properties dialog.
Suppose you want to temporarily change the symlink target of /bin/sh from the common bash to ash (normally itself a symlink to busybox).
In ROX-Filer select /bin/sh and open the Properties dialog (Ctrl+P).
The "Link target" looks like a label but actually it's an entry field. Just click twice (do not dblclick!), remove the 'b' from 'bash' and then ... no, not the Refresh button...just click somewhere else in the dialog or press Enter. The symlink target changes immediately.
You can close the ROX-Filer window and keep the Properties dialog open for further changes. If you follow the example don't forget to change back to bash
