I have been having terrible latency problems while using skype. Up to 6 seconds delay. I did some google searchs and determined that my using the built in sound card and the sound card on my usb headphones was a likely cause. I disabled the builtin sound and moved the usb sound driver to the "0" position in modprobe.conf. This took care of 80% of the latency. Now I am after the other 20%
Someone said that there is adjustment for the sound server "artsd" which controls the realtime process access. Is this the sound server that puppy uses and can I adjust the realtime cpu priority it has for sound? And how do I do that?
