Finally got it to work. googling through multiple sites I found that there should have been a file called image-menu.xml I checked other computers I had and found the file existed in my Linux Mint 18.3. I copied that file over and gimp now works.

Hamoudoudou, what's the point of posting stuff that nobody can act on? There's no useful information in your post. Go ahead and tell your friend about the forum, but why tell us if you do? Let him tell us he has a problem, if he ever shows up.

... The fly fuc*er hit again!

@Flash
(unfortunately I have to say things here because you don't check your PM!)
... Are you (or any "moderator" who deserves the title) beginning to understand that, beyond the small ordinary quarrels between the members of any Forum worthy of the name, there are also pelo, hamoudoudou (it's the same guy!), who ruins and devastates a Forum by filling it with this kind of messages (if you still have doubts, please take an impartial look at the French part of this forum!)? Isn't it time to get rid of this guy once and for all? Did he not do enough damage to justify the sanction? Know that he is not only stupid, but also nasty, lying and hypocritical...
Thank you for your attention.

Regards.

it was about b43 wireless drivers missing in Xenialpup 64. I will check additional software sfs if that can solve problems for xenialpup64..
My message was more to infom that Puppy users had better to post to Murga forum for technical probleme than in Facebook Puppy Linux, which is more for fun and show how Puppy can enjoy life, once installed.
"working with xenialpup64 with a toshiba satellite laptop lspci shows this : 02:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01) - Any ideas how to get this working? Tried installing everything that came up searching broadcom from puppy package manager... Still not working. Any idea where to get or how to install the proper driver for this? Thanks for any help in advance! I really need to get this working..." Steven Cambian
