PaDS 1.1.4 - updated version of 1.0.4
Posted: Sun 15 Jul 2018, 19:55
Hi.
So here is PaDS 1.1.4.
In version 1.1.4 I'm trying to fix what davids45 mentioned: the issue of the creation of unwanted extra lines in existing .desktop files.
It's not really an issue when the user is editing the entries by adding useful values. Though, in version 1.1.4 PaDS will pre-add some values to those empty entries ( e.g.: Name[en]= ). Those values pre-added are taken from default existing entry for EN users ( e.g.: Name= ).
Please test and report, thanks...
I will keep version 1.1.3 available to download for some period.
Info about previous versions:
PaDS 1.1.3.
It has now a GUI to edit .desktop files (and therefor gives time/break to edit content of the build-directory). Also there is additional option to create a .tcz module along with the .sfs. The md5 sum now is created for all the created files (.sfs, .pet, .tcz).
I will keep version 1.1.2 available to download for some period.
PaDS 1.1.2, a updated version of PaDS 1.0.4.
Due to a request/suggestion by mikeslr I had again a look at PaDS to make a updated version. It is a program to combine different archives/packages into a .sfs module.
As there is:
- .deb
- .pet
- .sfs
- .tar.gz
- .tazpkg
- .txz
To convert and combine such packages into a .sfs module is possible either by GUI (collecting the files from different sources) or just by right-clicking a directory (already containing all the files needed).
To work from GUI, PaDS 1.1.4 needs to have xdotool installed.
Thanks @mikeslr and @festus for testing and reporting issues/success.
Edit, 2018-07-17: a very small limitation on PaDS.
