I am using Wary 5.5 on an IA32 laptop. When I check PPM GUI, it shows that gcc_dev_xxx.pet is installed. However, gcc executable binary is not found in the file tree.
What is the effective way to install gcc?
How can I install gcc and glibc headers?

If I am not mistaken, that should be in the devx.sfs.
Basically, everything needed to compile is in the devx.sfs. Download it and mount it like any other sfs file. Then when you are done, unmount it.

@ illidan.modeler:-
As Dan says, that data should all be included in the devx. The only difference with your set-up is that you've done it via a .pet package, so it's permanently installed. It's far easier to use the SFS package, since you only load/unload it as & when needed.....the devx is a pretty big beast, and occupies a fair bit of Puppy-space!
My advice? I would uninstall the devx .pet, and instead, use the SFS that Dan's linked you to.
Mike.
