I have a bootable USB hard drive that has Puppy Linux installed on it that
I use as a repair/diagnostic tool. I recently wanted to experiment with
Clonezilla, and used this disk as a test bed. I installed Clonezilla on
top of the install that was already on the disk, expecting that my Puppy
Linux install would need to be sacrificed in the process.
To my surprise the Clonezilla install left Puppy Linux intact, and I can
boot to either environment. On initial boot, I intercept the boot process
and boot to the non-uefi choice in the boot menu. Then when the initial
Clonezilla screen appears, it gives a choice to boot to FreeDOS. When I
choose that option, it goes to a command line on the A: drive. Then, when
I change to the C: drive, I can invoke Grub4DOS, which is my preferred
boot loader for Puppy Linux. From there, I can boot to Puppy Linux exactly
like I did before I installed Clonezilla. Cool!
Clonezilla co-exists well with Puppy Linux
