Lan card not found? Minimal Puppy remaster, what to include?

Hello,
I am coming in terms to using puppy now. I am facing two problems at the moment using puppy.
1. I have builtin Intel pro/100 VE lan card with my 3.0 Ghz processor and puppy doesn't seem to pick that up. I don't know why? RedHat 9.0 also doesn't detect it but i have seen softwares like Acronis Trueimage which detect it. So how to make it detect.
2. I would like to remaster minimal puppy with x server and a window manager and a single application i.e. any one file explorer it has. How can i do it. I need step by step instruction about the booting process and what packages to include. I would like the resulting linux to work on all kind of monitors and systems.
Can anyone help me with these problems at hand.
Thanking in anticipation.
