Dear All,

Just now I posted a helpful post for puppy friends at http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?p=1008493#1008493. However, the post seems invisible. I am able to see its content when I try to "edit"/"reply with quote" the post. However normally the post is not visible. Any idea why it is happening. Some days back I was not able to stay logged in in forum. Every access was making me logged out. Now this sort of problem. Any problem with server or my machine? Please help.

Sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak

Ahhh... Now I see where was the problem. When we want to create a URL inside a post, we should make sure that link shouldn't have a trailing slash.

Ex. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/531940/how-to-update-ssl-puppy-linux-571
If the link contains a forward slash '/' after 571, it results in a bad post.

Sincerely,
Srinivas Nayak

Hi snayak.

Also, this will happen if there is a space after the (url) or before the (/url).
(brackets changed to parentheses for obvious reasons)

E.g. (url)blabla.org (/url) or (url) blabla.org(/url) will result in a seemingly
empty post.

IHTH.

Tip/trick, to show the desired bbcode - type the [url] and [/url] as you would normally, then select just the "url" text and apply font size to that, and the same for the "/url" ... and readjust the size value to 12 (normal). So that it looks something like
Code:
[[size=12]url[/size]]
and
Code:
[[size=12]/url[/size]]
