ad-hoc connection on linux

#1 Post by B.K. Johnson »

Hi guys
I seem to remember during my Windows days that I could connect 2 computers together and transfer files between them without a sophisticated LAN. If memory serves me right, all that was needed was a cat5 cable. Can this be done with Linux/puppy? How?

I probably should have googled for an answer, but the thought came to me wile in the forum, so ...

TIA
