Can Cherry Tree open a file in an "external" application?

#1 Post by mikeslr »

Cherry Tree --with an extensive quote from its website-- is discussed here, http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 72#1060172. Among its capabilities are:

cross application copy/paste (tested with libreoffice and gmail)
export to html of a selection / node / node and subnodes / the whole tree
automatic link to web page if writing the URL

execution of the code for code nodes and codeboxes; the terminal and the command per syntax highlighting is configurable in the preferences dialog Emphasis supplied

As coding is not my forte, I'm not even sure what possibilities the bolded text implies. But I just wanted to point out how great it would be while working on a project (especially one involving input from multiple people) to have all the bits and pieces linked so that it wouldn't be necessary to hunt for information and the means to communicate it.
