Looking at the home page today I noticed that the Ubuntu Bionic checksums do not include a SHA 256. Will those be coming along soon?

Thanks

Why do they need this?
What would this provide?
Never had this.

I presume that by "Ubuntu Bionic 8.0" you mean either BionicPup64 8.0 CE or BionicPup32. In any case, each of these distros has a thread in the Advanced Topics->Puppy Projects section of the forum. Post there and straightforwardly ask if the developer would consider posting SHA256 checksums.

When I saw Xenial Pup 7.5 offering a SHA 256 checksum I assumed this was the new standard.
If it isn't, I'll go with the MD5 checksum.

Thank you.

SHA256s would be nice, so by all means give the developer a nudge!
