Can't say I've really looked/noticed before, but just seen that there's been 31,400 guests/day today! Is that the normal sort of figure?

I think a lot of the "guests" are generated by search engine spiders and not real users.

Perhaps but there must be some reason that the spiders like our site. Smile

Lots of spiders attracted by Puppy flies.

I'm guessing. I don't always log in. I log in if I have something to contribute. But if like me when you take a break from whatever you're doing and open a link to the Forum without logging in, several times a day, the Forum may count each of your visits as that of a "guest."

My guess, a hundred different google servers read 100 messages each to see if they've changed and thats 10,000 guests.

Very Happy Hello,
Spiders search for keywords. One of those is the .iso format (cd's).
Puppy happens to be released as an ISO, so a lot of hits for that term on Puppy sites....
But I tend to think a lot of the guests are just people looking at the Forum and not joining...

Occasionally I take a look in the forum without logging in. I assume I'm being logged as a guest when I do that.
