multisession dvd-r

#1 Post by aum11 »

Hello,
this is my first post on this forum.

Have just downloaded 2.10r1 and am seeking advice on how best to burn it to get a multisession dvd happening. Or is a flashdrive better for performance?

I have read different advice and for older versions. What is the recommendation for this release?

Media? DVD-R?

Burning software? Am currently running under ubuntu 6.06, and also have access to XP if necessary.

Looking forward to this experience.

Thanks.

In my opinion the best (most reliable and trouble free) way to make a multisession DVD is to burn a live CD of Puppy then boot it and use burniso2cd in Puppy to burn the DVD.

As to which one is best, DVD or USB flash memory, it really depends on your circumstances and preferences. I like DVD for its archiving and backup.

CD-RW has always worked for me. If the disk has been used then you will probably have to erase the disk before burning it, depending on your burning software. When you burn it, be sure to look for a "burn bootable CD" option or something equivalent.
