It seems the problem was lies on gtkdialog and gtk upon creating the spinbutton. Since psynclient was written in bash and rely on gtkdialog for rendering the gui

yes, that is what I suspected
but now Terry H says psynclient does work in his easypup, the same easypup as mine

I needed a quick fix for EasyOS and EasyPup 2.3.1, as wanted to get it out immediately, so changed to flsynclient. Hopefully we can go back to psynclient soon.
