Google is now banning the popular Linux browsers named Konqueror, Falkon, and Qutebrowser from logging into Google services because they may not be secure.

Hmm... never sure what Googles adgenda is but their forcing of software is the most effective on the net.... of course if you use a crusty old version of chrome you can carry quite happily.

Watch this blank page...

Interesting because KDE partnered with google a few years back and then kde took over development of qupzilla (qt5) browser development to come up with falkon.

I just wrote some similar comment about internet establishment trying to force people to move from old browsers/forum that had not implemented security update to the latest. For example how there are some complains that people can not login in this forum.

Edit:
I just try to find my post made in Work on the test forum
, a few minutes ago and it is gone. I guess I had my 1rst post removed. I wonder what I say.

On google's other sites YouTube and translate, things appear at surface OK for older browsers. However, I point out that I am using good security such as GCM128 as minimum. Basically, everything else in FF27 is NOT reliable.

When using a newer browser, it would appear that unreliable security types be "falsed" or otherwise not allowed. This currently leaves Chacha20, poly1305, and GCM as the only vectors for a secure login. Also, the security has to be configured for TLS1.2 or 1.3 only. IMHO google is testing the browser at login for security weakness.

No, I don't have a google account, or ever will. Ditto soc-med.

Regards
8Geee

Oh, I've had a Google a/c for donkey's years, though I only use certain bits of the infra-structure. Don't care what they know about me, or try to 'sell'. But you can definitely count me out of social media. Haven't got the time of day for it....

The entire thing's a total waste of bandwidth, if you ask me.

Except in the political sphere, where you can propagate the latest spewings of influencers based on rumor, innuendo, suspicion, bias, prejudice, and the projection of personal failings onto others, all tied together with irrational, illogical thought-processes and leaps of faith or the lack thereof.

Maybe the post was just moved. Keep in mind though that it is a test forum so nothing is guaranteed to be permanent.

It is not important. No, my post was not move as thread remain in same place. As the previous day I had another post remove ( someone else whole thread). So I did in fact wrote another comment to admin asking them to please let me know if I did something wrong so that I can avoid that in the future. But No response. I guess I am fine.
