Unfortunately the forum software seems to have some kind of bug where some people outside the U.S. don't get notifications. Did you get one when you enrolled in the forum? You should have. Sometimes your email provider puts them in your spam folder.

Flash the problem is the site isn't sending emails from a https: platform and the emails are not even landing in spam. The email providers are simply refusing the emails..

Once again I am offering to do the hard work of rectifying this issue by upgrading the phpBB code. Which in we have different options on how to go forward.

One would be John Murga upgrades the phpBB code on the existing host server with or without upgrading the mysql and PHP.
There are several examples of successful migration from the current version 2 to a brand spanking new version 3 using tools provided for such an upgrade by the dev's at phpBB. Some of these upgrades have occurred on forums 2-3 times larger than the Puppy Linux forum.

The other option is to convert the original to a read only status and start fresh on another new forum with some tweaks to the structure.

Eventually this problem of https: needs to be addressed.

Can we get our hands on a mysql export of the entire database? I would set up a clone of the murga forum side by side with the new phpBB version and test an migration before an actual one is performed!
