Tested on an old nVidia 7050 iGPU connected to a CRT TV.

Important
  • If you want to install and use this driver in RAM mode (pfix=ram) you must disable the nouveau driver at boot time with this kernel boot parameter:

Code: Select all

nouveau.nomodeset=0
  • And clic [Yes] in the nvidia-xconfig dialog

    Clic [No] and reboot puppy If your haven't disabled nouveau.

I was in search of this driver months ago with no luck.

Long story short: after much searching, I found a page where someone with the same problem was able to patch the source code of this nvidia version. It was intended for Bionic but luckily, it worked in DPupBuster.

In my case, there are some minor glitches, like apps closing unexpectedly or being "abandoned" by the cpu (yes, that weird) but that is just occasionally and not repetitively (thank goodness).
