How about a "Quick Launch" wizard for Puppy?

#1 Post by Braden »

I'm curious if there would be interest in a wizard for configuring the "Quick Launch" icons (to borrow the term from Windows). I'm referring to the icons that appear to the right of the Menu button, left of the multiple desktops.

They can be configured by hand in the /root/.jwmrc-tray file, but not everyone wants to hand-edit these configuration files.

I twigged to the idea after adding a couple of my own (I missed the console and text-editor quick launch keys after upgrading from 2.10 to 2.12).

Is this a worthwhile project, would this be useful to have?

I already created one. It's in the jwmconfig program under panel buttons. Feel free to add to it if you'd like.

Okay, I found it. I don't see any need to add to it, it seems pretty solid.

 I'll find something else to work on, I suppose.

No worries, lots of little things can be easily overlooked.
