Hi
It must be possible to make puppy understand cyrillic. Its Ok that menus etc. is english, but I would like to be able to type in cyrillic in f.ex abiword.
I guess X needs some fonts, but how do I install that?
A keyboard layout to match must also be necessary, but how do I include that?
A small applet to switch between layouts, Any suggestions?

Any hints are welcome

I haven't looked for Cyrillic fonts specifically, but all of the abiword dictionaries for spellchecking can be found at the below link.

Download the correct one and unzip it into /root/.abisuite/dictionary. Spellchecking is now setup provided you set the correct language. If you manage to find the fonts that you want, Place them into /root/.fonts. You will probably have to create the directory as it doesn't exist in Puppy from the live CD. Good luck, it shouldn't be too hard.

One other thing. You can edit the menus in any way you see fit. The fvwm95 config file is /root/.fvwm95rc. If you scroll down to the menus you should be able to get a feel for the format. The jwm file is /root/.jwmrc. If you are using Geust Too's icewm WM there is a special menu file /root/.icewm/menu. You need to have rox show hidden files. All three can be edited with any text editor.
