WAVs play at 2x speed.

#1 Post by Guest »

For some reason, whenever I try to play a .wav file, it goes 2x faster than origonally planned (rather it be GAIN, or a .wav played in gxine.)

How would I fix this?
[EDIT: It's meh flamesage.]

I dunno, my computer does the same thing. If I click on the .wav files that came in some of the sound directories I just get a quick squeak or shriek. (First time it happened I had my volume turned up and nearly jumped out of my chair.) CDs play OK though, and I've put a few .wav files in the same directory, and they play OK.

There are three different programs that play .wav files.

I think Rox is setup to use "wavplay", a console app.

If you use the Snack player, or the new tomAmp, they use the Snack library.

Then there's Gxine which can also play .wav files.

try all three, let me know which ones work or not.
