GAIM won't access MSN, lacking Secure Socket Layer. Keeping in mind that I'm a DOS geek from back in the day, but a Linux newbie, can anyone tell me how to get it working?
Many thanks!

I presume that you are using the standard 1.0.4 release?
Gaim uses the ssl libraries in Mozilla, and it did work last time I tested it, a couple of versions back.
If it isn't working in 1.0.4 and Moz is there, then it looks like a library version mismatch ...will have to recompile Gaim to work with the latest Moz.

I should have mentioned...
I've removed Mozilla in favor of Firefox. I've got SSL 2.0, 3.0, and TSL enabled in Firefox settings. I don't suppose there's any chance you know what files need to be put back where..?
If all else fails, I'll make another CD and start over, a little more carefully. I guess that's one of the beautiful things about a multisession Live CD. :)
