Puppy 2.12 video issue/bug?

#1 Post by jared »

I have started puppy 2.12 from a CD and using the Xorg wizard pick the appropriate resolution. The issue is that the V & H refresh rates come out at H68.00 Khz and V=85.00Hz. On my machine this causes an intolerable flicker which is not present in puppy 2.1 where the V=68.6773 Khz and H=84.9967.

Using Xvesa doesn't seem to make a difference, I still get the flickering.

Any ideas?

Puppy 2.12 video issue/bug? Flickering (resolved)

Oki doki, here's what fixed it. I downloaded puppy 2.12ZDRV and booted with that and it read the H & V correctly, just like in all the other versions. Looks beautiful. I guess the straight ver 2.12 was missing something!
