Audacity Optimized Version of Puppy 2.12?

#1 Post by edoc »

My son would like to do some streaming audio, and eventually streaming video,
on the Internet.

Puppy 2.12 includes some important upgrades so I don't want to go to an earlier
version.

Is there a version of Puppy that has been optimized for audio and video editing?

not yet . . .

grafpup is awaiting time from Nathan to move to the 2.xx series. . .
grafpup.com

in particular look at the multimedia add on BUT that might not work with 2.12 as it was designed for grafpup

look under audio here

ideally we would have an audio and video .sfs
Puppy Raspup 8.2Final 8)

I downloaded and installed the two wxgtk pups in order followed by audacity 1.3.2

Audacity does not open.

NOTE: This is a HDD install of 2.12 on a desktop.

In Muppy 006 it runs, so I think it will miss a multimedia-library in normal Puppy.
Run
audacity
in a consolewindow, and post the result here.

I am sorry, I was writing carelessly!

It worked perfectly, I intended to note that libasound was present and had to be
overwritten so I was guessing that the prior install of it must have been corrupted.

Audacity is working! Thanks!

Now I have to figure out where to move the PC so when I hook up the mic and
the adjustable arm our 4yr old does not decide to swing on it!
