First: Great work Barry. Thank you!

I installed 1.0.4 on hdc2 and told it to install grub on hda on the mbr.

It looked like it did it, but it didn't actually do it.

It installed the hdc2/boot/grub files. But menu.lst looked incompleted. ??

No big deal for me. I just thought I'd report it for your information. I checked the mbr on hdc and it wasn't installed there.

Also, I noted that the num lock works. Very good, Christmas came early this year.

The same thing happenned for me with 1.02, but I forgot to post it.

It would seem to install, but wouldn't.

What it was, was that by accepting the defaults (ie, not doing the typing when it asks where you want installed) would produce this scenario.

But manually typing in /dev/hda when asked where mbr was seemed to work.

hmmm.... forgot about that, but subconciously it stuck with me because since then I never leave any field blank during an installation of any kind...

Very Happy
