How to set Gxine visualizations off by default?

#1 Post by koken915 »

Is there a way to shut off the visualizations by default? When I play streaming audios, goom is enabled and I have to use the View/Visualisations menu to set it to None. I am using Puppy 2.13. Thanks.

try to edit /root/.gxine/config:

gui.post_plugins.audio_visualisation:none

You can do it within gxine also, by going to file>configure>Preferences>tab gui>tab post_plugins, then down to goom (third one down) and change audio_visualisation to none. Save, Exit and restart gxine.

Thanks.

Both methods work great. I'm running Puppy on an 800 Mhz computer and the visualizations were using more of the cpu than I would have liked.
