I am a newbie . I am running puppy in memory and have added
a user in terminal. My question is, as user in terminal, if you leave
terminal open and run a program in the gui to you remain user
or revert to root#? Thanks Kindly ...dcg

If the gui was started as a user, anything run from it will likely be run as a user. If you start a terminal and set it to a user, whatever that terminal runs will be a user. Everything else will remain whatever it was before.

That's pretty much all my knowledge in this area though. I don't know much about sudo, setuid, etc., or how to make all the scripts cooperate with a user account.
