How can I have all the man pages locally not on line?

#1 Post by chc225 »

Hello,

I am using ver 2.11
it looks like help that used to be available locally on my pc has gone on line with version 2.11.

the man help seems to be online. eg. when I do "man ps" it brings this back
===================
BusyBox

The Swiss Army Knife of Embedded Linux

Online man page: http://www.die.net/doc/linux/man/man1/busybox.1.html

------------------------------

how can I have the manual pages on my pc rather than online. I am not connected to the internet all the time.

thanks for your help

The HTML BusbyBox Pages:
Puppy does not use all of CLI enhancements
Those references are vital !

If you use Google once - the full man pages are on-line in one URL
IIRC they are downloadable/printable ( many pages)

Better yet - buy the O'Reilly book Linux in a Nutshell
Even the older version will be your most treasured resource,
it's often seen OVERPRICED at discounted low price
(I bought mine for less than $8.00)
