Hi

I'm new at this but can boot from cd but have no sound. and the menaing of this is to use puppy to wacht some dvd's (hardware is presend but no software and no richts to install this in windows)

the hardware probe gives me only the following info about most of the devices but this is the sound card I think
8086:266e (4,1) 0 [ (null) - (null) ] (null)

as far as I can think this meas no module is loaded and no info is there.

the pc is A HP-compaq. It is a smal desktop model (new)

Any help ?

It's an Intel sound chip, so try this:

# modprobe i810_audio

...let us know if it works (or not)!
