Just burnt my Puppy Linux CD and am using it as a live CD on a Windows PC at work to do my Linux based computer studies when I get time. Flawless operation of this OS so far. Well done Puppy People!
I usually work in the BASH shell and use emacs to write and compile code for C, C++ and Java. I am having trouble getting emacs working. How do I start emacs? I tried
# emacs filename.cpp
as I usually do, but no cigar.
I am no expert, this is how I started emacs to write code on my Mandrake Linux desktop system at home.
Any help appreciated.
How do I run emacs?
first, you need to install emacs if it is not already installed
