Question about Firefox's seeming lack of dependencies
As per Lobster's post, Mozilla, Firefox, Thunderbird, etc., experience few or no problems with dependencies when installing them in practically any version of Linux, including Puppy. They are all fairly large programs. Are they large partly because they include everything they need to run as stand-alone programs, or is there some other reason they seem to have no dependencies?
Firefox Dependencies
Required
GTK+-2.6.7, libIDL-0.8.5 and Zip-2.31
So, apparrently it does require something at least...
I was kinda wondering the same thing, wishing that there were more big comlex programs that installed so easy!
