and I don't know the place to write about it in the web:

please transmit this information to your french spoking friends!

bonjour

http://www.goosee.com/goosee/index.shtml

http://www.goosee.com/goosee/evemanual/evemanual.htm

cordialement

françois

I don't know much French, except a few words remembered from high school... "firme le port" "parle vou englai?" ...spelling all wrong.

Anyway, ah yes, EVE.
I regularly receive email, why oh why did I stop work on it.
Problem is, it's a Win32 application and I don't use Windows anymore, don't even have Windows installed on my PC.
EVE can't be ported to Linux either, as it's too tied into the Win32 API, unless WINE is used.

The only french I remember from High School was the french teacher, OO la la,

I ran this through Babel Fish but I'm not sure that it is exactly what Francois was saying but you will get the gist of it.
------------------------------------------------

hello I already spoke you about this programmer except class, Australian the barry kauler (Puppy Linux).

beside Linux, barry created an extraordinary program for the vectorial drawing under Windows (practically any version starting from Windows 95b), its extraordinary Eve program because this dwarf, not, this microbe (73 Kbyte, yes, not of typing error: 73 Kbyte! less than much of pages of Word or pdf!) fact more and in an incredibly elegant way that certain giants.

and where it is found? there http://www.goosee.com/goosee/index.shtml you will have hardly time to see that you download in the zippé file you have the program, of Doc. and of multiple examples this is why the zippé file is a little more important! there is very detailed instructions but English: http://www.goosee.com/goosee/evemanual/evemanual.htm it is an enormous page of Web intended to be memorized on your hard disk not to download it 36 times for nothing it is effective and fast, and that limits to necessary the traffic on the site of English barry. unfortunately only.

L will be necessary for you to change in manner of thinking: the document does not have size. it can be gigantic if you wish it and if your ordi has the capacity (but it is vectorial drawing: you do not memorize "size" but only information contained and their co-ordinates - thus not of major fear to have on this subject).

you will thus not find the usual cursors which go from top to bottom and from right-hand side on the left but will point a position on the document then will zoomerez it to rabougrir it, choisirer a new point in the document, for will rezoomerez while increasing to arrive at the enlarging wanted at the desired point. or you will enter of co-ordinates etc thus one could even sail since the sky chart in all the universe! logic, altogether...

look at well many and highly interesting examples... nothing to install only dézipper in a sorter which you will appelerez Eve to click on the icon representing beautiful Eve! then to seek with Fichier, To open, the examples appear (open file) Open initially eveintro.eve

click on the order "Controll" then "Zoom out" to see the "extent of the dégats"! centre with a click of the mouse on a point which you want to see, then call "Zoom in" good recreation, or good work, according to what you will decide... cordially François
