need help with installing puppy qemu on usb

Hi!!
I am completely new at this. I want to learn puppy through qemu on my win xp machine so that I can learn this system without rebooting every time. I have the regular puppy burned on a cd and I followed the instructions to install the qemu version onto a usb drive but it doesn't show up under windows. This is a great program and I want to learn it but it's taking me too long to learn how to do the basics in puppy.
Can someone build an executable for windows that will make this process easier for someone just learning this system? I have been following the instructions in all the areas to install on a usb drive but the terms is just too confusing to me.

have you tried erik's qemupuppy?

it is the latest puppy version, and if you follow his instructions for installing to usbkey, then it will work on either a linux or windows machine
