What do isolinux.cfg 'PXXX' variables for loading kernel do? |
|
In various posts around these forums I have seen mention of various parameters to be used in conjunction with loading the kernal when for example doing a grub install. So far I have seen the following:
PHOME
PFILE
PSLEEP
PROOTFS
Has anybody produced a list of all possibilities with descriptions of what they mean?

My apologies.
I have found the page on the Puppy web site which discusses these items:

Thanks JaDy.
Made a couple of minor updates. Hope you don't mind.
Does anyone know what the definition of PROOTFS should be?
The current text is out of date.

If you have PFILE defined, then you don't need PROOTFS as it defaults to ext2.

The newly updated and expanded Puppy Boot Parameters page is at http://puppylinux.org/wikka/BootParms.
