Install without Cd or USB?

#1 Post by mormonboy »

So, I have this old laptop that I desperately need to install Puppy on within the next couple days, but it does not have a Cd drive or USB ports. The only I/O devices it has are an Ethernet port and a Floppy drive. How can I install Puppy? Can I do it over the internet? I could connect it to a LAN, does that help? Is there a way to boot from floppy and have that start a network installation? I could even use many floppies if that would work (although that would be kind of anoying to use that many floppies).

Thanks for any help!

Might look at this procedure. I used it and it works great. I modified the setup a little to boot from a floppy.
