Net Logo - Java and LOGO combined

#1 Post by Lobster »

If you have java (and a fast connection) click here
http://www.zen45800.zen.co.uk/projex5/page2.htm
to see an example of a control Panel suitable for submarines (and in this case multi-brane interfacing)

LOGO is a turtle powered language ideal for directing robots and drones (for which it was originally intended)

LOGO is suitable for children as young as 2 to start programming in. Java is a technology that is built into some phones and runs through the web on anything .Net is based on Java.

If I was going to recommend a language to start programming in (for fun) I would suggest LOGO (not BASIC)

Net Logo which is used in the above example can be used in a Java powered Puppy. It is free - who can get a screen shot of it working in Puppy?

The Procedure I used to get NetLogo running

Install latest Java using Dotpup
Download cutting edge Netlogo
go to RXVT terminal type:
$ cd netlogo-3.0beta4
$ java -jar NetLogo.jar
