I brought my live CD to the hotel where I work because the computer here is bogged down with xp (it's the one that hotel guests can use to access internet in the lobby)
Put in my live CD and everything was going fine after I changed the BIOS, it even found my fs2 file on the USB disk I inserted... but then it gievs me this printout:
ERROR-cannot fine Puppy on 'idecd' boot media
PUPMODE=9 PDEV1=
Exited to initial ramdisk command line (/dev/ram/0)
(Linux guru can now debug, 'e3' is available)
/bin/sh: can't access tty: job control turned off
Then it goes to a # with cursor, but nothing I type does anything, just gives me an error message. So I type exit and it gives me this:
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
Even if I try to do a new boot without the USB fs2 file it still does all of this. It's not imperative that I get this working but if anyone minds taking a stab it'd be appreciated, my wireless problem (a different post) is much more important
livecd boot trouble
This may help:
