Can't type quote marks and apostrophes - 1.0.2
I notice that I am having a terrible time trying to get quote marks and apostrophes typed using Puppy. What that all about? They will not show up in the text editor or any of the applications.
I am using Puppy 1.02 (the one with the 2.6 kernel), and I tried using the keyboard wizard. No luck. Sometimes when typing fast, the next keystroke after the phantom punctuation mark also stalls. Its just that one key, and it works well in other distros. Im baffled.

not sure with the 2.6 kernel.
There's a post about someone with a Latin keyboard who had similar sounding problems to you in ( possibly ) the Bugs Section in the forum.
Can you provide a bit more info though.
What keyboard language and layout are you using?
Does the " work at all - in any application?
