Getting EMAIL trough EXCHANGE server

#1 Post by LAF »

Hi All,

I'm a newbie to LINUX and to this FORUM.

I just installed Puppy on my USB key. It's wonderfull!!!

I was wondering if there's any Email software that supports Microsoft EXCHANGE.

I want to step away from Microsoft OUTLOOK Smile

But I need an EMAIL program that supports EXCHANGE, 'cause I still have to go to the Exchange Server to get my mail Sad

Please Help,

LAF

I've never actually used exchange, but I thought it was IMAP for some reason. If it is, this might help. Feedback in that thread would be great. Thanks.

My company uses Exchange. They have the Web component active. I can access my email from the Exchange server via the Web through SeaMonkey. It works just fine for me. Does your IT department support Web access to their Exchange server? Maybe you could start a trend! -Mark

Good info on this page:

I am my IT department ;-) Don't run exchange. I'm about to start running a mail server I compile myself. POP3 works fine for me. Might tinker with IMAP for ease of moving from machine to machine.
