Hi I have the following problem
My PC has a serial mouse and puppy will pick up a PS2 mouse (I believe the PC has also a slot for the PS2 mouse).
I am running in Xvesa (can't run the other one it will crash puppy).
I have tried several methods to change the mouse:
1) via ALT-F1 and then mouse/keyboard wizard.. (see below in spanish instructions - found on this forum). Unfortunately I cannot select the mouse because I can't see the tab moving on the screen (keyboard works fine).
2) using the script:
rm /etc/mousedevice
and xwin jwm etc as per a "how to" post on this forum ... but no luck.
3) changing the /etc/mousedevice file to have the value ttyS0 instead of psaux
but puppy will not "read" this value when I start using xwin. (I guess the file is already loaded).
My questions:
Is there a way that I can start puppy - with my changed value in /etc/mousedevice?
(I don't want to start the xorgwizard, it buggered up my whole distro last time and had to reformat/reload puppy).
Let me know - thanks!
Daniel
