No sound on the HP Pavilion tx1000

I have an hp pavilion tx1000 and the mute button on the keyboard remains orange even after I press it. (and I keep trying  ) any drivers or magic suggestions?

Which version of Puppy? i also have an hp tx1020ea (same laptop, eu release) but i can't install any linux distro. i'm not able to run neither puppy. how did you manage to get it installed? thanks |
