#1 Post by gonzo90017 »

I'm trying to create a desktop shortcut for MUT Media Utility Tool, and Gxine. How can I do this?

Puppy 1.0.5alpha2, with new-look desktop has these shortcuts on the desktop.

Anyway, waht you are asking, you should first do some research.
This question has been asked many times, answered many times.

Search this forum, the answer has also been placed on the wiki.

I'm not 100% certain for MUT, and I'm not on Puppy right now, but this is how you do it for GXINE:

Look inside /usr/local/bin for GXINE. Simply drag it to the desktop to create a shotcut.

You can than right-click on it and edit the name, if you chooose, as well as the Icon,

Hope this is of some help!

EDIT: Barry, that's probably better advice.

Yeah, I know, giving the answer was shorter than my protest reply!

Anyway, gonzo90017, nothing personal. It's just that we get heaps
of repeat questions.
