How can I browse my cdrom?
I've downloaded some themes which I then burned to a cd which I want to install from the cd since I can't connect to the internet with my laptop where pup is installed. How do I do it? How can I browse my cdrom?
If you are using Puppy 1.0.3 or 4 click on tha Start button, bottom left, move the pointer up to File Managers and click on MUT Media Utility Tool.
Wait for the information to be displayed and identify your CDROM, click on the word 'Mount' and this should open a rox filer window displaying the contents of your CD.
When you are finished go through the procedure again only this time click on 'Unmount' otherwise you will not be able to eject the CD.

1) open ROX
2) browse to /mnt/cdrom
3) using your mouse drag and drop the cdrom icon to your desktop
4) to mount: right click and select mount
5) to unmount: right click and select unmount
----------------
If this does not work check the text file /etc/fstab and see if cdrom is in there
If is and it still doesn't work - put a data cdrom in the drive
