Many thnks. Looks good and useful if we can get it working . . .
Well the Gnee Gui is running but when I record, I get a message about 'no protocols choosen' but can not work out where to 'set the application to record some data'
Anyone who has taken their vitamins able to figure this out?

do you have this line in Section "Module" of xorg.conf:
Load "record"
if not, put it in and restart X
this should record (all one line):
cnee --record --events-to-record 1000 --mouse --keyboard -o /tmp/xnee.xns -e /tmp/xnee.log -v
press ctrl+C a few times in the rxvt window to stop
this should play back the recording:
cnee --replay -f /tmp/xnee.xns
It is an education

You been taking your vitamins . . .
OK I found
xorg.conf in /etc/X11/ and edited
and copied
cnee into /bin
then did as you said and it worked, the mouse moved to edit (Geany) and the program opened. It did not repeat my typing in Geany. Not sure why? Also my auto repeat facility on every keyboard button has been disabled.
However this would seem to have huge potential in educating Puppys and others. Be interested if others have a go and how they get on
Thanks GuestToo

as a demo, you can open an rxvt window, and a Geany or Leafpad or Abiword window
type in the rxvt window:
cnee --type-help
switch to the text editor window ... cnee should type the help messages in the text editor
nobody knows how it works
