Hello. Puppy has captured my heart...and computer.

I would like to propose the following image change for the website. No more imposter!

(see 1st attachment)

Preview:

(see 2nd attachment)

This of course was taken from the About the real Puppy page.

Hope you like it.

Puppy Love!

Why did you cut off the puppy's ear?

He's probably a sadist. :-)

But in all seriousness It is the real Puppy.

It would probably look different with the rest of Puppy showing.

The previous Puppy (who I called "hell pup" on account of the red eye from using a flash) had ears.

This one is a vast improvement. Do we add ears? You have done a great Puppy image here :)

Ears and Broken links

#7 Post by ectoprocta »

Sorry, geocities doesn't allow much bandwidth, as I found out the hard way....so I attached the images above.

As for ears, I shaved the left one(puppy's right) a little too close which I could fix, but if you look at the original image, Puppy's ears are back. I don't think my image editing skills are good enough to add ears and have it look like an original...but I'd try if you like...or an image guru can take over. I was just inspired by cool distro and the Puppy story.

NewsFlash - Puppy is still alive and living in France

#8 Post by ectoprocta »

How is this for a quick fix to the ear problem.....I kind of like it!

It is a little taller than the original, but it should hopefully work fine.

Aussie Puppy as you requested. I didn't find the exact hat image I was looking for, but this one works better than I expected. This is fun, I'll try some others out.....japanese puppy and netherlands puppy.

I mentioned japanese writing above, the only other ones I could find were war related.....does it work with the transition from windows to linux..."success" "passing"?

Dutch puppy: Flag of Friesland province in Netherlands, home of the Elfstedentocht, the biggest skating race and tour in the world. Around the brim it says FRYSL

Well I'm hesitant to tread on Spanish and Portuguese. There are many countries that speak these languages......doing a sombrero for spanish would be like doing an american flag for English.....it has to be something all Spanish speakers or Portuguese speakers identify with. I thought of a Catholic cross for spanish, but religion, don't want to go there.

More suggestions.....

Well you did an ausie hat. Is that because Ausie is not quite English? :D

If other Spanish speaking forum participants have ideas for representative regional headdresses they can always suggest. I don't think there is a common headdress, as there isn't one for English.

I guess that's the case for most widelly spoken languages.

Although... Most spanish speaking countries idolize soccer o you may want to think about a sports-puppy series.

P.D. I couldn't care less about sports, so it's only a suggestion. ;)

Well both Puppy and Barry are Aussies, so we get to celebrate the birthplace of Puppy Linux.

How about Zorro. Everybody likes zorro. Steal from the windows give to the linux.....
