2.15 CE missed my Realtek 8139 netcard

#1 Post by tuxster »

Hi all

I like the new CE but it did miss my netcard.
I copied 8139too.ko from old edition and put line in ~/.bashrc
as follows
"modprobe -a 8139too.ko"
then it worked.

Thanks for all your efforts.

Puppy is the greatest and I tell everyone who will listen and some who won't......

73s to Hams everywhere and 72s for Puppy QRPP fans!

Hello tuxster,
Good to see someone go back to an older version of Puppy to get what they need to get some hardware working.
So many times I've read a complaint that a newer version of Puppy no longer supports someones hardware and what are the creators of Puppy going to do about it.

The beauty of Puppy is that a user can take a package or file from here or there and create an operating system that fills their needs and burn a new iso if needed.
Experiment while running Puppy Live and if you break Puppy reboot and try again.
Legacy OS 2017 has been released.
