Problem linking to Opera

I have downloaded opera-9.21-20070510.6-shared-qt.i386-en-tar-gz and extracted to /usr/local/opera in latest tmxxine. I can find the exe file in there and from there it works fine. How do I make a link to the desktop? Thanks!

Just drag the executable from a rox filer window onto the desktop. Right click on the icon to change the text or picture.

Thanks for the suggestion but I did that and nothing happens when I click on the icon on the desktop.

Just drag Opera from usr/local/bin onto desktop
