evil geeky cackle . . .
I tend to change the motherboard and CPU ocasionally to get a new PC.
My current machine is a "Time" brand (since gone into liquidation) Duron running at (frankly I could not give a monkeys) some speed or other
with 256 meg ram - I could upgrade to 512 - but no need . . .
I have two large HD's that are used for Puppy 001 backups.
I listen to net radio and use Puppy to browse and speed is not an issue.
The issue for me is how irrelevant is my OS. In other words up time.
I must admit that being familiar with an OS gives you POWER [evil geeky cackle . . .] I am happy to grow with Puppy. It is a good place to be. I like the people and developers involved . . .
It is a lot of fun. What fun are you having? _________________ Puppy WIKI

I always wanted to work on computers but I choose a different path. 3 kids and EBay gave me the chance although I'll never be good at it.
Cable modem
router
24 port switch
Print server - 3 port laser, all-in-one, impact
10 Dell GX1
2 Compaq Workstations (Dual CPU)
1 HP NetServer
2 NAS 1-6 drive SCSI, 1-4 drive CD
Running XP Pro, W2K(mostly), Red Hat&Slackware, and now The Pup.
This is our "52inch TV" all 5 of us play LAN 1 or 2 hour, 2 to 3 days a week. I hate to say it (heavy breath) but I almost like it when there is a problem. It's like my cross word puzzle. Weird huh.
