I think Puppy encourages many projects, such as Geany, JWM, Mtpaint but I wonder if their is a particular project we could develop or adopt?we could become involved in moblin for example . . .

It's an Intel - some guys are doing it for the Intel giant. Maybe you can write Intel instead to get Puppy tested on the Classmate laptop.
