How to install smart utilities in puppy?
In debian,i have installed smartmontools package,to find information about my hard disk.
Smartmontools display the health and the number of power-cycle (start-stop) of a hard disk with smart support.
How to install smartmontools in puppy?
Please install the Slackware package installer "Gslapt":

Direct downloadlink:
http://puppyfiles.org/dotpupsde/dotpups ... Gslapt.pup
Then run it, and it will take a moment to download all descriptions.
Then enter "smartmon" in the Gslapt search, and click on the checkbox -> install.
Then click on the execute-button.
I just tested it in an older Puppy.
Now in the comandline window I can type smartctl:
smartctl --all /dev/hda1
This produces a long list, you might want to save it to a file:
smartctl --all /dev/hda1 >/root/result.txt
defaulttexteditor /root/result.txt
